The companions of the thicket denied the messengers 176 when their brother Shu'ayb said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 177 I am for you a faithful Messenger, so fear you God, and obey you me. 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 180 ۞ "Maintain just measure in your business and do not cause loss to others. 181 And weigh with a balance straight. 182 And do not wrong men of their things, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief. 183 Fear Him who created you and those who have gone before you." 184 They said: thou art but of the bewitched; 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 Let a part of the sky fall on us if what you say is true". 187 He said, "My Lord knows all that you do." 188 In response they denied him – therefore the punishment of the day of the tent* seized them; that was indeed a punishment of a Great Day. (The clouds formed a tent and rained fire upon them). 189 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 190 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 191
