Seest thou one who turns back, 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 He plunged the villages 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
