We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 and at night.
