Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 By the receding night 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 As a warning unto men, 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 In Gardens they will question 40 about the sinners. 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
