The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the night when it covers the day, 1 and the day in splendour 2 And Him who created the male and female, 3 Lo! your effort is dispersed (toward divers ends). 4 As for him who giveth and is dutiful (toward Allah) 5 And believeth in goodness; 6 Surely We will ease his way unto the state of ease. 7 But he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient, 8 and rejects what is right, 9 For him We shall ease the way of adversity, 10 and his wealth shall be of no avail to him when he perishes. 11 BEHOLD, it is indeed for Us to grace [you] with guidance; 12 And lo! unto Us belong the latter portion and the former. 13 Therefore do I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely; 14 No one will burn in it but the most wretched, 15 who gives the lie to the truth and turns away [from it]. 16 and from which the cautious shall be distanced. 17 Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 and owes no favour to anyone, which is to be repaid, 19 acting only for the sake of his Lord the Most High -- 20 And presently he shall become well pleased. 21
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
