The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Al-Qari'ah (the striking Hour i.e. the Day of Resurrection), 1 What is the striking (Hour)? 2 And what do you know what the Calamity is? 3 A Day whereon mankind shall become as moths scattered, 4 and the mountains will be like fluffy tufts of wool.... 5 Then, as for him whose scales are heavy (with good works), 6 He will live a pleasant life (in Paradise). 7 But as for one whose scales are light, 8 Will have the Abyss for abode. 9 And what shall teach thee what is the Pit? 10 (It is) a Fire Blazing fiercely! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
