Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 Again, indeed you will see it with certainty. 7 Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
