Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 and covered them with torment. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
