Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 As justification or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed time? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
