The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Woe to Al-Mutaffifin [those who give less in measure and weight (decrease the rights of others)], 1 when they measure against the people, take full measure 2 but who, when they measure or weigh for others, give less than their due. 3 Do they not realize that they will be resurrected 4 on a great day 5 The day when everyone will stand before the Lord Of The Creation. 6 Nay! most surely the record of the wicked is in the Sijjin. 7 How will you comprehend what Sijjin is? 8 A Register inscribed. 9 Woe, that Day, to those who deny [(Allah, His Angels, His Books, His Messengers, the Day of Resurrection, and Al-Qadar (Divine Preordainments)]. 10 Those who deny the Day of Justice. 11 None denies it but the sinful transgressors. 12 And when Our revelations are rehearsed unto him, he saith: fables of the ancients! 13 No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning. 14 Nay! Surely, they (evil-doers) will be veiled from seeing their Lord that Day. 15 then they shall roast in Hell. 16 Then, it will be said to them: "This is what you used to deny!" 17 Nay, but the record of the righteous is in 'Illiyin - 18 And what do you know what the Illiyoon are! 19 A record [indelibly] inscribed, 20 Which is witnessed by those brought near [to Allah]. 21 Verily the pious will be in heaven, 22 On couches, gazing, 23 thou knowest in their faces the radiancy of bliss 24 They shall be given to drink of a wine that is sealed, 25 pouring forth with a fragrance of musk. To that [wine of paradise,] then, let all such aspire as [are willing to] aspire to things of high account: 26 And the admixture of it is a water of Tasnim, 27 A spring, from (the waters) whereof drink those Nearest to Allah. 28 The sinners indeed laughed at believers 29 And wink one to another when they passed them; 30 And when they returned to their own folk, they returned jesting; 31 and when they saw them said: 'These are they who are astray' 32 Whereas they were not sent over them as watchers. 33 Wherefore Today, those who believed at the infidels are laughing, 34 Regarding them from their cushioned seats. 35 Have the unbelievers been rewarded for what they did? 36
