Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Hast thou observed him who belieth religion? 1 That is the one who treats the orphan with harshness, 2 and urges not the feeding of the needy. 3 So woe to those who pray 4 But who are oblivious of their moral duties, 5 Those who (want but) to be seen (of men), 6 And refuse Al-Ma'un (small kindnesses e.g. salt, sugar, water, etc.). 7
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
