Joseph (Yousuf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Alif-Lam-Ra. These are the verses of a Book luminous. 1 We have sent it down as an Arabic Koran; haply you will understand. 2 In revealing this Quran to you, We tell you the best of the stories of which you were unaware. 3 When Joseph said unto his father: O my father! Lo! I saw in a dream eleven planets and the sun and the moon, I saw them prostrating themselves unto me. 4 He said: O my son! recount not thine vision unto thy brethren, lest they plot a plot against thee; verily the Satan is unto man an enemy manifest. 5 Your Lord will choose you and teach you to interpret events, and confer His favours on you and the house of Jacob, as He had done in the case of two ancestors of yours, Abraham and Isaac, before you. Indeed your Lord is all-knowing and all-wise." 6
