The dwellers of the wood belied the sent ones. 176 When Shuaib said to all of them, “Do you not fear?” 177 I am for you a faithful Messenger, so fear you God, and obey you me. 178 I ask of you no wage for this; 179 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ Give a full measure and be not of those who diminish; 181 “And weigh with a proper balance.” 182 and diminish not the goods of the people, and do not mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 "And fear Him Who created you and (who created) the generations before (you)" 184 They said: "You are no more than one of those who have been bewitched, 185 for thou art nothing but a mortal like ourselves! And behold, we think that thou art a consummate liar! 186 "Now cause a piece of the sky to fall on us, if thou art truthful!" 187 He said: 'My Lord knows what you are doing' 188 But they denied him, so there came on them the retribution of the day of gloom. Lo! it was the retribution of an awful day. 189 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 190 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 191
