But nay! I swear by that which you see, 38 and by that you do not see, 39 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is the word of a noble Messenger. 40 and is not - however little you may [be prepared to] believe it - the word of a poet; 41 Nor is it the word of a soothsayer (or a foreteller), little is that you remember! 42 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 43 And if he had fabricated against Us some of the sayings, 44 We would surely have seized him by the right hand, 45 And then severed his life-artery, 46 and not one of you would have been able to withhold Us from doing so. 47 And verily, this Quran is a Reminder for the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). 48 We know very well that there are some among you who reject Our signs -- 49 yet, behold, this [rejection] will indeed become a source of bitter regret for all who deny the truth [of God's revelation] 50 And indeed, it is the truth of certainty. 51 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty. 52
