He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and then turned away 1 Because the blind man came unto him. 2 And what would make you know that he would purify himself, 3 or have been reminded [of the truth,] and helped by this reminder. 4 As for him who considers himself free from need (of you), 5 you attend to him, 6 And you have nothing to lose if he does not become pure. 7 But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose 8 And he fears, 9 You neglect. 10 These verses are a reminder 11 so let those who want to follow its guidance do so. 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 By the hands of scribes. 15 noble and pious. 16 Be cursed (the disbelieving) man! How ungrateful he is! 17 From what thing doth He create him? 18 From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him, and then set him in due proportion; 19 and then made the course of life easy for him, 20 He will then send him to death and have him laid in the grave. 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again). 22 Nay; but he has not done what He bade him. 23 Then let man look at his food, (and how We provide it): 24 That We pour forth water in abundance, 25 Then We split the earth properly. 26 And We made corn grow, 27 grapes, vegetables, 28 And Olives and Dates, 29 thickly planted gardens, 30 And fruits and grasses: 31 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 32 Then, when there comes As-Sakhkhah (the Day of Resurrection's second blowing of Trumpet), 33 upon the day when a man shall flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 his consort, his sons, 36 Everyman, that Day, will have enough to make him careless of others. 37 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 38 and be cheerful and joyous. 39 but some faces will be covered with dust 40 with darkness overspread: 41 Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity. 42
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
