Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth will not suffice him, neither what he has gained; 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 and his wife, laden with firewood 4 A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck! 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
