If they belie you, say: 'I have my work, you have your work. You are quit of what I do, and I am quit of what you do' 41 And there are those of them who hear you, but can you make the deaf to hear though they will not understand? 42 Some of them will look at you, but are you supposed to guide the blind even if they have no vision? 43 Surely God does not wrong anyone; they wrong themselves. 44 And the day He shall muster them, as if they had not tarried but an hour of the day, mutually recognizing one another; lost will be those who cried lies to the encounter with God, and were not guided. 45 Whether We show you (in your lifetime, O Muhammad SAW) some of what We promise them (the torment), - or We cause you to die, - still unto Us is their return, and moreover Allah is Witness over what they used to do. 46 And for every nation there is a messenger. And when their messenger cometh (on the Day of Judgment) it will be judged between them fairly, and they will not be wronged. 47 And they say: "When will be this promise (the torment or the Day of Resurrection), - if you speak the truth?" 48 Say: I do not control for myself any harm, or any benefit except what Allah pleases; every nation has a term; when their term comes, they shall not then remain behind for an hour, nor can they go before (their time). 49 Tell them: 'Did you consider (what you would do) were His chastisement to fall upon you suddenly by night or by day? So why are the culprits seeking to hasten its coming? 50 Will you, then, believe in it [only] after it has come to pass - [on the Day when you will be asked, 'Do you believe in it] now, after having [contemptuously] called for its speedy advent?' 51 Then it will be said to the evildoers: 'Taste the chastisement of eternity! Are you recompensed for aught but that you have been earning?' 52 And they ask thee to tell them if it be true. Say thou: yeah by my Lord, it is the very truth, and ye shall not be able to escape. 53
