Noah (Nooh)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
WE SENT NOAH to his people to warn them before the painful punishment came upon them. 1 He said, "O my people, indeed I am to you a clear warner, 2 That you should worship God and fear Him, and follow me 3 and He will forgive you your sins, and defer you to a stated term; God's term, when it comes, cannot be deferred, did you but know."' 4 He said: "O Lord, I called my people night and day, 5 “So for them, my calling them increased their fleeing away.” 6 And whenever I called them, that Thou mightest forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, and wrapped them in their garments, and persisted, and waxed very proud. 7 "And behold I called unto them openly; 8 Then verily I spake unto them openly and secretly. I also addressed them. 9 Then I said, "Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Surely He is the most forgiving. 10 and He will loose heaven upon you in torrents 11 'And give you increase in wealth and children, and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers." 12 "'What is the matter with you, that ye place not your hope for kindness and long-suffering in Allah,- 13 who has created you in several stages? 14 ‘Do you not see how Allah has created the seven heavens atop each other?’ 15 ‘And in them, has illuminated the moon, and made the sun a lamp?’ 16 And God caused you to grow out of the earth, 17 and [then] He will bring you forth [from It] in resurrection. 18 ‘And it is Allah Who made the earth a bed for you.’ 19 so that you may walk along its spacious paths?" 20
