NAY, but consider the moon! 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 Warn the men. 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Except those on the right side. 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 From the guilty. 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 running away from a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
