The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Woe unto the scrimpers: 1 Those who when they take the measure from mankind demand it full, 2 but when they measure or weigh for others, they reduce! 3 What! Do they not expect that they will be raised? 4 on a great day 5 the Day when all men shall stand before the Sustainer of all the worlds? 6 Nay! Truly, the Record (writing of the deeds) of the Fujjar (disbelievers, sinners, evil-doers and wicked) is (preserved) in Sijjin. 7 And what will make thee know whatsoever the record in Sijjin is? 8 (There is) a Register (fully) inscribed. 9 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies, 10 those who deny the Day of Judgement. 11 Which none denieth save each criminal transgressor, 12 When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples." 13 Nay, but their hearts are corroded by all [the evil] that they were wont to do! 14 Nay! most surely they shall on that day be debarred from their Lord. 15 Then they will indeed burn in Hell. 16 Then it will be said: 'this is that which ye were wont to belie.' 17 Indeed the record of the virtuous is in the highest place, the Illiyin. 18 And what can make you know what is 'illiyyun? 19 It is a comprehensively written Book (of records). 20 Which is witnessed by those brought near [to Allah]. 21 Verily the pious will be in heaven, 22 On adorned couches, observing. 23 thou knowest in their faces the radiancy of bliss 24 They will be served a drink of the finest sealed wine, 25 With a sealing of musk, which those who aspire for the best should desire, -- 26 With the wine is a drink from Tasnim, 27 The spring from which drink the ones close to Allah. 28 The sinners had been laughing at the believers. 29 And when they passed by them, they winked at one another. 30 And when they returned to their household they returned jesting. 31 and when they saw them, they said [scornfully], "These men have surely gone astray," 32 No one has appointed them to watch over the believers. 33 But on this Day the believers will laugh at the unbelievers 34 as they (recline) upon their couches and gaze (around them). 35 Will not the infidels pay for what they had done? 36
God the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
