Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
