۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then Pharaoh sent gatherers to the cities. 53 "There is a small group of people 54 who have certainly provoked our wrath. 55 seeing that we are, verily, a nation united, fully prepared against danger 56 So We made them leave their gardens and springs, 57 and treasures and a noble station; 58 Thus [We turned them (Pharaoh's people) out] and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit them. 59 Pharaoh and his people pursued them at sunrise, 60 So when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa cried out: Most surely we are being overtaken. 61 Musa said: by no means; verily with me is my Lord; He shall guide me. 62 Then We bade Moses strike the sea with his staff. And it parted, and each part was like a huge mountain. 63 And We brought near, there, the others. 64 We delivered Moses and every one with him, 65 And We drowned the others. 66 Verily! In this is indeed a sign (or a proof), yet most of them are not believers. 67 And yet, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 68
