Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Is it not that they say, from their own invention, 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will you not then mind? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts). 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 but not so the true servants of God, 160 So you and your deities 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 The angels say, "Each of us has an appointed place. 164 we are the rangers, 165 And we are most surely they who declare the glory (of Allah). 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 And leave them for a time. 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
