HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
