Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 Noble and recording; 11 They know what you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
