The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
