Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the morning brightness 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
