And assuredly We delivered the Children of Isra'il from an ignominous torment 30 [inflicted on them] by Pharaoh, seeing that he was truly outstanding among those who waste their own selves; 31 And We chose them, purposely, above (all) creatures. 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 Verily, these (Quraish) people are saying: 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 We have created them for a genuine purpose, but most people do not know. 39 The Day of Judgement is your promised day of meeting, 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to another, nor shall any be helped, 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42
