Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the swift scatterers 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 and are turned away from him who is turned. 9 Woe to the liars 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
