The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is sundered. 1 and hearkens to the command of its Lord, doing what it should; 2 when the earth is stretched out 3 and throws out of itself all that it contains 4 in obedience to the commands of its Lord which are incumbent on it, (the human being will receive due recompense for his deeds). 5 O human, you are working hard towards your Lord and you will meet Him. 6 Then, as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand, 7 Will have an easy reckoning, 8 and will return rejoicing to his family. 9 but as for him whose record shall be given to him from behind his back, 10 Soon he will pray for death. 11 and will enter the Blazing Fire. 12 He used to live joyfully among his people, 13 and had thought that they would never be brought back to life again. 14 Yea! his Lord had ever been beholding him. 15 No! I swear by the twilight 16 and by the night and what it enfolds, 17 And the moon when at the full, 18 you shall proceed onwards from stage to stage. 19 What is wrong with them that they do not believe? 20 and when the Koran is recited to them that they do not prostrate! ۩ 21 Yea those who disbelieve belie. 22 And Allah knoweth best what they are hiding. 23 So announce to them a painful punishment~ 24 Except to those who believe and work righteous deeds: For them is a Reward that will never fail. 25
