3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 And We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
