Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 Leaving the consorts your Lord has made for you? But you are a people who exceed the bounds." 166 They said: "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will be expelled (from the city)." 167 He said: 'Truly, I am a detester of what you do' 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 Except an old woman among those who remained behind. 171 Thereafter, We utterly destroyed the rest, 172 by pouring upon them a terrible shower of rain. How evil was the rain for those who had been warned! 173 Surely, in that there is a sign. Yet most of them do not believe. 174 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
