Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
All that is in the heavens and earth exalt Allah. He is the Almighty, the Wise. 1 He has sovereign control over the heavens and the earth. He gives life and brings death. He has power over all things. 2 He is the First and the Last, the Ascendant and the Intimate, and He is, of all things, Knowing. 3 He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days and then Istawa (rose over) the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). He knows what goes into the earth and what comes forth from it, what descends from the heaven and what ascends thereto. And He is with you (by His Knowledge) wheresoever you may be. And Allah is the All-Seer of what you do. 4 To Him belong the heavens and the earth and to Him all things return. 5 He turns night into day, and turns day into night; and He knows whatsoever is in your hearts. 6 Believe in Allah and His messenger, and spend (in charity) out of the (substance) whereof He has made you heirs. For, those of you who believe and spend (in charity),- for them is a great Reward. 7 What has come upon you that you believe not in God, though the Prophet is calling you to believe in your Lord? And He has already taken your pledge, if you are believers. 8 It is He who sends down upon His servant signs, clear signs, that He may bring you forth from the shadows into the light. Surely God is to you All-gentle, All-compassionate. 9 And what is the matter with you that you spend not in the Cause of Allah? And to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. Not equal among you are those who spent and fought before the conquering (of Makkah) (with those among you who did so later). Such are higher in degree than those who spent and fought afterwards. But to all, Allah has promised the best (reward). And Allah is All-Aware of what you do. 10
