Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 Some faces will on that Day be downcast, 2 Labouring, striving hard. 3 Scorched by burning fire, 4 their drink shall be from a boiling spring. 5 No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari' 6 that will neither nourish nor satisfy their hunger. 7 However, on that day the faces of other people will be happy. 8 With their endeavour well pleased. 9 They will live in an exalted garden 10 Wherein you shall not hear vain talk. 11 Therein will be a flowing spring, 12 Wherein are couches raised 13 And cups set at hand. 14 and cushions ranged, 15 and carpets spread out. 16 So do they not see the camel – how it has been created? 17 And the heaven – how it has been raised? 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? 19 And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse? 20 So, [O Prophet] exhort them: your task is only to exhort, 21 You are not a warden over them, 22 Save the one who turns away and disbelieves 23 God shall chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 Verily unto Us is their return. 25 In Our hands are their accounts. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
