The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the inevitable event comes, 1 and there can be no denying its happening, 2 The event will be abasing some, and exalting some. 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 The mountains bruised and crushed, 5 so that they become as scattered dust 6 And ye will be three kinds: 7 So those on the right how (fortunate) are those on the right! 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 And the preceders are the preceders. 10 Those are the ones brought near [to Allah] 11 In gardens of delight; 12 a large group of the early believers, 13 And a few from among the latter. 14 On lined couches, 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Immortal youths will serve them 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of limpid drink. 18 (no brows throbbing, no intoxication) 19 And fruits such as they choose, 20 And with flesh of fowls from that which they desire. 21 And (there will be) Houris (fair females) with wide, lovely eyes (as wives for the pious), 22 beautiful as pearls hidden in their shells. 23 The reward for what they did. 24 They shall not hear therein vain or sinful discourse, 25 (Naught) but the saying: Peace, (and again) Peace. 26 And those on the right how (fortunate) are those on the right! 27 They will be in (the shade) of thornless lote 28 And clusters of banana plants. 29 And extended shade, 30 and flowing water, 31 and fruit abounding, 32 Neither ending nor forbidden. 33 on raised couches. 34 We have indeed developed these women with an excellent development. 35 And made them virgins, 36 loving companions, matching in age, 37 for the people of the right hand 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
