The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And We gave them Our signs, and they remained averse to them. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning, 83 And what they earned did not avail them. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator of all things, the Knowing. 86 And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of Al-Mathani (the seven repeatedly recited Verses), (i.e. Surat Al-Fatiha) and the Grand Quran. 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 And say: 'I am the plain warner' 89 Such as We send down for those who make division, 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 So by your Lord, We will surely question them all 92 about whatever they had been doing! 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 Surely We suffice to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 We know indeed thy breast is straitened by the things they say. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 and worship thy Sustainer till death comes to thee. 99
