They question you about the Spirit. Say, "The Spirit is at my Lord's command, and you have been granted but little knowledge." 85 And if We willed, We could surely do away with that which We revealed to you. Then you would not find for yourself concerning it an advocate against Us. 86 [Thou art spared] only by thy Sustainer's grace: behold, His favour towards thee is great indeed! 87 Say, "If all human beings and jinn were to come together to bring the equivalent of this Quran, they could not do so, even if they all were to help each other. 88 And indeed We have fully explained to mankind, in this Quran, every kind of similitude, but most mankind refuse (the truth and accept nothing) but disbelief. 89 They say, 'We will not believe thee till thou makest a spring to gush forth from the earth for us, 90 or thou have a garden of date-palms and vines and cause rivers to gush forth in their midst in a sudden rush, 91 Or you make the heaven fall upon us in fragments as you have claimed or you bring Allah and the angels before [us] 92 or you have a house made of gold; or you ascend to heaven; and we will not believe in your ascension until you send down to us a Book that we can read." Tell them, "Holy is my Lord. I am but a human being sent as a messenger." 93
