Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
