Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a known calculated term. 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
