The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By the racers, panting, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11
