Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe unto every backbiter, slanderer, 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the Crushing Fire. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
