۞ O people! You are dependant on Allah; and Allah only is the Independent (Absolute, Not Needing Anything), the Most Praiseworthy. 15 If He wishes, He can remove you and put in your place a new creation. 16 That is not a hard thing for Allah. 17 No laden soul shall bear another's load. If one is heavy burdened and calls for his load to be carried, nothing of it will be carried, not even if he is a close relative. You warn only those who fear their Lord in the Unseen, and establish the prayer. He who purifies himself, purifies himself for the good of his own soul. To Allah is the arrival. 18 Not alike are the blind (disbelievers in Islamic Monotheism) and the seeing (believers in Islamic Monotheism). 19 Nor the darkness and the light, 20 And neither are the shadow and the hot sunshine! 21 nor are the living and the dead alike. Allah makes to hear whomsoever He wishes, but you, (O Prophet), cannot cause to hear those who are in their graves. 22 Thou art no other than a warner. 23 Verily, We have sent thee with the truth, as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner: for there never was any community but a warner has [lived and] passed away in its midst. 24 If they give the lie to you now, those that went before them also gave the lie to their Messengers when they came to them with Clear Proofs, with Scriptures, and with the Illuminating Book. 25 So We seized the unbelievers. How great was the change I wrought in their condition then! 26
