Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Certainly the news of the calamity that will overwhelm has come to you! 1 (Some) faces on that day shall be downcast, 2 Travailing, worn. 3 Burning in the scorching fire, 4 Drinking from a boiling spring, 5 they shall have no food but thorns, 6 which neither sustains, nor satisfy hunger. 7 [Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure. 8 well-pleased with [the fruit of] their striving, 9 In a Garden on high, 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 In it is a flowing spring. 12 raised couches, 13 well arranged goblets, 14 cushions ranged, 15 And carpets ready spread, 16 Have they not looked at how the camel is created, 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And the mountains: how they were fixed? 19 And at the earth, how it is outspread? 20 So render good counsel, for you are simply required to counsel, 21 Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs. 22 But whoever turns back and disbelieves, 23 will be punished by God with the greatest punishment. 24 For to Us will be their return; 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
