Verily We created man of potter's clay of black mud altered, 26 and the jinn created We before of fire flaming. 27 When your Lord said to the angels: 'See, I am creating a mortal from clay of molded mud. 28 “Therefore when I have properly fashioned him and breathed into him a chosen noble soul from Myself, fall down before him in prostration.” 29 So the angels made obeisance, all of them together, 30 Except Iblees, he refused to be with those who prostrated. 31 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What is your reason for not being among the prostrators?" 32 He said, "Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud." 33 [Allah] said, "Then get out of it, for indeed, you are expelled. 34 A curse shall be on you till the Day of Recompense' 35 He said: My Lord! then respite me till the time when they are raised. 36 Allah said: "Then, verily, you are of those reprieved, 37 "Till the Day of the time appointed." 38 Said he, 'My Lord, for Thy perverting me I shall deck all fair to them in the earth, and I shall pervert them, all together, 39 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 40 (Allah) said: "This is the Way which will lead straight to Me." 41 Surely, as regards My servants, you have no authority, over them except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 And surely Hell is the promised place of them all: 43 It has seven gates and each gate is assigned for a certain group of people. 44
