▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ No! I swear by the positions of the stars – 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 That (this) is indeed an honourable recital (the Noble Quran). 77 In a Book Hidden. 78 None shall touch it save the purified ones. 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Is it this discourse that ye hold lightly? 81 and do you make it your living to cry lies? 82 Wherefore then - when the soul cometh up to the wind-pipe 83 Whereas you watch at that moment! 84 and We are nearer to him than you, although you cannot see Us -- 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 That you send it (not) back-- if you are truthful? 87 Thus if he is of those brought nigh, 88 it will have rest, happiness, and a beautiful Paradise. 89 And if one happens to be of those who have attained to righteousness, 90 it will be with the people of the right hand, living in peace and security. 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 Then an entertainment of boiling water. 93 He will burn in Hell. 94 Indeed, this is the certain truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96
