Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 The closing night, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 So where are you going? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
