Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
HAS THERE COME unto thee the tiding of the Overshadowing Event? 1 [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled, 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 roasting at a scorching Fire 4 that is fueled from a tremendously hot fountain, 5 No food for them save the bitterness of dry thorns, 6 Which neither give strength nor satisfy the hunger. 7 [And] some faces will on that Day shine with bliss, 8 well-pleased with [the fruit of] their striving, 9 They shall be in a Garden lofty: 10 Wherein you shall not hear vain talk. 11 Wherein is a gushing spring, 12 In which are high thrones. 13 Goblets set, 14 And cushions ranged 15 And rich carpets (all) spread out. 16 Do they not then ponder how the clouds were formed; 17 And how the heaven was raised up, 18 how the mountains were hoisted, 19 And how the earth was outstretched? 20 So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder. 21 You are not at all a guardian over them. 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 God will punish them with the greatest torment. 24 Verily, to Us will be their return; 25 In Our hands are their accounts. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
