The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 And is intractable in his love of worldly goods. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
