The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

THE STARTLING CALAMITY. 1 What is the startling calamity? 2 Would that you knew what the crash is! 3 A day wherein mankind will be as thickly-scattered moths 4 and mountains will be like carded wool. 5 Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds], 6 He shall live a pleasant life. 7 but those whose good deeds will be lighter (on the scale). 8 His refuge will be an abyss. 9 And what do you know what that is? 10 A flaming fire! 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
