The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers, 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 pay their religious tax 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 And those who strictly guard their (five compulsory congregational) Salawat (prayers) (at their fixed stated hours). 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 then We placed him as a drop of fluid in a safe place, 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 And you are carried on them and on boats. 22
